Subfamily Viridasiinae
The subfamily Viridasiinae comprising the Madagassian genera Viridasius Simon, 1898 and Vulsor Simon, 1998, was recently excluded from Ctenidae and raised to family rank (Viridasiidae, Polotow et al. 2015). The remaining of the Neotropical genus Asthenoctenus with the type species A. borelli Simon, 1897 and four further species remains unclear.
